Bio
Research Internship at Yale University’s School of Medicine
Last summer at Yale School of Medicine, I gained hands-on experience working with brain organoids, miniaturized three-dimensional models derived from stem cells, and learned how they can capture aspects of human brain development and disease that traditional systems cannot. The experience merged my interests in engineering and biology, quite literally engineering a mini-brain in a dish, and ignited my excitement for how interdisciplinary approaches can drive progress in neuroengineering.
